Local producer Kim Schuetrum has announced that that the locally produced feature Deadroll, is currently in post-production.

The film stars Kerry Kearns as Lauren Billings, a young news reporter anxious to land a big story. She is paired with news photographer Jeff Forrest (Dave LeBahn, Whose Famous Now?), a grizzled veteran who isn’t too thrilled at being saddled with a rookie. However, as a big story breaks and Billings lands an important interview with District Attorney McGabe (Trish Blaine), Forrest begins to have some questions about Billings herself.

The story was written by Schuetrum and director Joel Fritzinger with Alan Brocavich writing the screenplay. Also featured in the cast are Greg Korin (Cubes), CJ Ryan, Scott Vinnacombe, Sam Falbo, Jim Holeva, Hennessy Gumina, Kyla Campbell, Michelle Vinnacombe and Bob Jackson.

Schuetrum notes that while they have no concrete plans for the finished project, they do plan on a local screening and submitting it to several film festivals.
