The Community Film Project announces its first slate of board members

The Community Film Project is pleased to announce the election of its first slate of board officers and members. The board members are as follows- Jeff Fowler, President, Jason Sherry, Vice-President, Tony DelRegno, Treasurer, Justin McCarthy, Webmaster, Rich Drees, Press Officer and Craig Cirelli and Michael Paulukonis, Board Members At Large.

The CFB Board is currently searching for its first projects to begin production in 2005 and actively welcomes submissions from prospective writers, directors and producers.

Jeff Fowler is a lifelong Jessup resident and a graduate student at Marywood University, pursuing a Masters degree in Communication Arts. After producing two student films with friends, co-workers, and family members, he challenged several members of the local filmmaking community to join with him in the creation of the Community Film Project. He is co-writer/producer/director of the independent feature Who’s Famous Now?, currently in post-production.

Kingston resident Jason Sherry is currently head of the Drama Department at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School. He is a noted regional stage actor and has directed the independent feature Cubes, currently in post-production. He has also directed the short film Bad Time for the 2004 National Film Challenge.

Tony DelRegno of Jenkins Township is a commercial product manager for Nexstar Broadcasting and has directed and produced local commercials and television programming. Along with Fowler he is the co-writer/producer/director of Who’s Famous Now?.

Justin McCarthy of Jessup is a materials engineer for a defense contractor and served as the webmaster for the local independent film Who’s Famous Now?, as well as acting and producing all graphics for the production.

Rich Drees has worked for several years as a freelance entertainment feature writer, contributing to both local and national publications. Currently, he is the editor/publisher of the online film magazine FilmBuffOnLine.com. He has also appeared in the locally produced films Who's Famous Now? and Cubes as well as worked on Lucky Numbers directed by Nora Ephron.

Bloomsburg resident Craig Cirelli is the Associate IT Director at Wyoming Seminary School, where he met Jason Sherry and took on the roles of editor and visual effects artist for the independent feature Cubes. He also served as editor and co-producer of the short film Bad Time for the 2004 National Film Challenge. Craig will join Pixel Corps in January 2005 to continue training in the field of visual effects.

Michael Paulukonis, a South Dakota native now residing in Throop, has previously served on the boards of Artists for Art, the Mulberry Poets and Writers Association, and was intensely involved in the Pennsylvania Film Festival. He works as a computer programmer and artist.
