AUDITIONS for Shorts!

Community Film Project will hold a cast and crew call for our next series of short films at the dates and times noted below. These films will be 5 minutes in length and will screen during Summer 2008 at Endless Mountains Theatre in Scranton.

Four films are seeking cast and crew help:
Title: WEREWOLF
Directed by Bob Sweeney
Synopsis: The short film takes place in an unspecified time where a werewolf has taken over Scranton. A man and woman are hired to find it and kill it.
Character Descriptions:
Man –
Age: Late 20s – Early 30s.
Height – 5’ 10” – 6’ 3”
Weight – Proportional to height
Notes: Needs to have a good screen presence and be able to act with his eyes.
Woman –
Age: Late 20s – Early 30s.
Height – 5’ 5” – 5’ 9”
Weight – Proportional to height
Notes: Needs to look good firing a gun and have very sensual eyes.
Extras:
20 – 25 concert goers. If interested, you will need to be able to dress in checkered new wave clothes from the early 80s.
Band to perform at the club.
Title: FAMILY SECRETS
Directed by Tony DelRegno
Synopsis: The 20th anniversary of her mother’s death, a young girl returns to the house where her mother died in order to try to contact her mother through a psychic medium.
Character Descriptions:
Isabella, female playable range 20-25, goal is contact the spirit of her dead mother. She is college student majoring in journalism. She always wants to get the bottom of the story.
Monica, Isabella’s stepsister, playable range is 25-30, is concerned with superficial value of society. She is a prominent politician in the community.
Ben, Isabella’s stepfather, playable range, 55-65, is the Mayor of the community. He was married to Isabella’s mother when she died.
Jennifer is Ben’s new wife, playable range, 30-40. She is the typical trophy wife, who is concerned with supporting her man. She is a gold digger.
Ryan is Isabella’s boyfriend, playable range, 25-30. He is a police officer in the community.
Ghost Eleanor, Ghost of Elizabeth’s mother, playable range is 35-40. She will represent the character at the time of her death, twenty years ago.
Cassandra, psychic medium, playable range 40-50, is a gypsy type woman, who is the gateway to the truth.
Title: MORNING
Directed by Tom Roarty
Synopsis: This 5 minute short will explore a typical family who after just starting their day has to cope with the death of their father and the emotions that ensue. “Morning” is a drama based on a short story by Donnie Eifert and developed by tom Roarty
Character Descriptions:
Samantha: Married professional woman between the ages of 35 and 45 whose husband died during the night.
Sarah: Samantha and Jack’s youngest daughter who finds her father’s body in bed. She is between the ages of 6 and 8.
James: The middle child. James tries to stay in control of the situation as a responsible young man but his emotions get the best of him during the tragedy. James is between 11 and 13
Alyssa: Typical teenage girl who tries to be sarcastic but is really good-natured and caring deep down. Alyssa is between the ages of 15 and 17
Jack: The deceased husband and father who died from heart complications during the night. Jack is between the ages of 40 and 50
Paramedics (2): Two paramedics will also be needed for supporting roles. Sex and ages are optional as these roles are very flexible.

Synopsis: An improvisational faux documentary detailing a day in the life of consultant Victor Padgett, a professional life coach who inspires others through creative chanting and team building.
Character Descriptions:
Victor Padgett: professional life coach, playable age 30 – 65, must be able to act professional and measured during interviews, yet be capable extraordinary levels of enthusiasm when inspiring others.
Employees of Pumped LLC: males and/or females, various ages, co-workers of Victor Padgett who specialize in making mundane tasks seem special. Ideal candidates will appear professional yet be able to summon intense excitement instantly.
Clients of Pumped LLC: males and/or females, various ages, include attendees of a child’s birthday party, restaurant employees, movie theatre ushers, and a mailman. Clients will typically act disinterested and appear lackadaisical prior to meeting Victor; some will be inspired by Victor’s leadership while others will be immune to his intoxicating energy.
