The Community Film Project will premier the feature-length comedy Who’s Famous Now? Sunday November 6 at 7:30 pm at the Endless Mountains Theater in Dickson City. Admission is free. The screening is part of the Community Film Project’s ongoing “Screening Room” series, which gives regional independent filmmakers a chance to exhibit their work.

Who’s Famous Now? tells the story of how a reality show where contestants can win a date with the famous action starlet Lane Parker (Jessica Chorey) turns the normally peaceful Woodside University upside down. Fantasy roleplayer Quincy, AKA Lord Bow (Todd Rowker) hatches a plan to win the date by through an elaborate scheme to appear much more wordly than he is, aided by his three minions- Nutcracker (Tim Swanson), Butterbar (Steve Lewis) and Horndog (Rich Drees). Complicating things is the appearance of karaoke superstar Koko Ewa (Gil Idhaw), who is being stalked by obsessed fan Tammy Jo (Heidi Germaine Schnappauf). The more Dean Francis (Steve Stylinski) attempts to restore order, the more crazed things become.

The film was written, produced and directed by Tony DelRegno and Jeff Fowler and shot on location throughout Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. Also appearing in the cast are Paula Deignan-Reynolds, Dave LaBahn, Elliot Lipless, Liz Naro, Barbara Sincavage and Jeff Walker.
