Archon Films
Archon Films is proud to announce the release of its new website, dedicated to independent film production. http://www.archonfilms.com/index.html
For more than 4 years Archon Films has been creating quality films with budgets under “Low Budget Film” averages, allowing great pictures, which would not normally see a movie screen or television screen, to be played in front of large audiences. “Everyone has a dream, we just want to help some of them come true”
The success and quality is evident by their accomplishment. In 2004 the feature “Komfortably Numb” won recognition at the Pocono Mt. Film Festival as well as a 12-month contract to play on Pay Per View. In 2005 Archon Films was commissioned to shoot a feature film for under $10,000. This film not only surpassed all expectations, but also has been picked up for distribution. It will hit shelves in 2007. In 2005 “Midnight Visit” and “Wish Bone” premiered at theaters to sold out crowds and in 2006 the short “Red Blue” has achieved national and international publicity as it was an official selection in the Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and has been requested by several international festivals including the Torino Film Festical in Italy.
A passion for film and story telling is what inspired Archon Films owner / operator and director Timothy Gaer to develop and set up this independent film company.
With the expansion to Nevada and a new group of passionate filmmakers, and the change in operations in Pennsylvania, it was only a matter of time before the website followed suit. “I wanted something a bit cleaner, and informative. When people come to the site I want them to know exactly whom we are, and what we do.” Explains Timothy Gaer. “The old site was a bit crowded, and may have been hard to find what you need, the new look and navigation will eliminate that. Especially since there is now room on the home page for breaking news like casting calls”.
The release of the new site coincides with the casting call for the newest Archon Films short “Never Everything” which is set to start shooting in November. “I want this film to be strong, and be profound.”
Timothy will be utilizing local Nevadan talent, crew and locations for “Never Everything”. Once it is completed it will be submitted to national and possibly international film festivals.
