Wyoming Valley's Film History Lecture This Sunday (March 13)
Did you knw that there was once a silent film studio in Forty Fort that produced comedies for Paramount Pictures? Or that an early pioneer in film exhibition was headquartered right in Wilkes-Barre?
This Sunday (March 13) Community Film Project board member Rich Drees will be lecturing to the Shickshinny Historical Society on the history of motion pictures in the Wyoming Valley- from the earliest days of the industry to the Valley's more recent brushes with Hollywood. The Historical Society will be meeting at the Town Hill United Methodist Church at 1:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
