"The History of Pennsylvania" is the story of April, a teenage girl, and her mother, who go on a trip to meet the girl's biological father. When they finally meet him, he's not what either of them expected.

Casting will be for the following roles:

Don (character age late 40's-early 50's) A loser. A former child genius, who now lives with his mother and conducts experiments in her basement.

Grandma (character age 70's-80's) Somewhat senile. She lives in the past and refuses to see what her son has become. She's excited about the idea of a new family.

April (character age 13-14): Quiet, serious. She has a somewhat antagonistic relationship with her mother, and she's conflicted about the idea of meeting her father.

Mom (character age early 40's): This trip was her idea. She thinks that somehow by meeting the father, it will strengthen the relationship she has with her daughter.
