Scranton & Wilkes-Barre In Entertainment Blog
NBC's The Office isn't the first time that Scranton has been mentioned, or even used as a setting, in a television series or film.
The folks in the Reference Department of Scranton's Albright Memorial Library are cataloging our region's history in entertainment through the appropriately titled Scranton & Wilkes-Barre In Entertainment Blog. The site continues to list then all, from The Office to Jason Miller's film adaptation of his play That Championship Season to mentions on an episode of The Twilight Zone to classic director (and Wilkes-Barre native) Joseph L. Mankowicz's many references to his hometown in his various films. (Though we still can't find a reference in Cleopatra...)

This just in, The Office isn't funny. Actually, it's been true since its first episode.
I LOVE the Office.
BTW, thanks for posting about our blog. I added the Community Film Project to our links.
